The government monitors everything sent over the internet, all phone calls, and anything else with an electronic or paper trail. Don't worry too much...it would take a heck of a lot more people to monitor as everyone as closely as many people fear. It's all about keywords.

It's not so much government agents as it is government agencies with computers that screen messages, comments, calls, etc.

What isn't our government sticking their noses into? When anyone uses words like, bomb, attack, explosives, anthrax or any word they perceive to be a threat it kicks a red flag into a computer readout somewhere. Our country is no longer free in the sense we think of being free, everything has the ability to be monitored, your phone, the internet, your bank accounts, your health care records, everything. I wouldn't worry about it unless people you know start coming up missing.

I really doubt that unless key words show up...and even than I doubt it after seeing people claim they want to kill President Bush or commit acts of terrorism...

Do you really think the US Government cares if you have an STD...want to know what type of nose ring you should have.

Really....the government honestly can't and doesn't expend it's resources on "do you think Britney Spears is a slut?"....

It is hard to know for sure, but you should assume that anything you post in the public domain (the internet for example) is accessible by everyone -- government and everyone else.

They monitor using keyword recognition software, just like on your phone calls.

Why not? They have as much right to ask and answer as anyone else, as long as they are polite.

This is a PUBLIC forum. That means everyone, including spooks. As long as they have good manners.
