Well it depends really on the boy and your friend. They are single so it really isn't that bad but it could cause some fights but that about all.

i have had something like this happen to me..
i think that if someone's ex is single you shouldn't go out with them if you have any heart at all for your friend.
people get really hurt this way and your friend might still have feelings for this person even if they say they don't.
you should stand by your friend and support their decisions.
talk to them. maybe there was a problem with their relationship that might also occur with yours.
