I had a dream last night that a coworker named Laurie went missing. All night long I was searching for her in my dream. I woke up a couple of times, but as soon as I went back to sleep I was dreaming about her being missing again.

I woke up and went about my day, thinking nothing of it.

Then, I was listening to the news to learn that a woman who lives ~30 miles away named Lorrie (not my coworker) has gone missing.

Hmmm....

Generally, dreams are not so literal, but it happens. Odds are strong your dreams had nothing to do with the missing woman, but more with yourself. It may be that you had some precognition, though unlikely. However, even I have had dreams which forecast upcoming events, down to each word said.

I have experienced similar dreams. I don't thing that we fully know what dreams are. I am sure that they are more then just our subconscious getting rid of useless thoughts. I have dreamed of things that happen the next day, not as in major disasters, but maybe a call from an old friend or something like that...

Nope, it wasn't just a "coincidence". I several times get dreams that actually come true... I suppose they only alert you for things that are going to happen but shouldn't. But the sad part is by the time you wake up the damage's already done, lol

Oh my God!!! sometimes you can dream things about the future! or the unknown present!

But let me ask you something: have you heard radio meanwhile you sleep? becuase maybe you dream with you hear asleep in radio, and perhaps in radio gave you teh new of hte missing Laurie.

You have to investigate why that woman is so important for you, maybe she and you hav esomething in common.

I think everyone has a 'psychic sense.' But turning it off and on as you need to is a trait that not everyone has.
I can sometimes "see" things when I'm asleep, too- but I don't usually have the ability to differentiate between a "seeing" and a dream.
Its something that everyone CAN do but somepeople don't have the ability to recognize it.

God speaks through dreams. You can see this throughout the bible. He has spoken to me through dreams. Getting dreams from God and then interpreting them is all in the area of the prophetic.

it could have been a twist of fate in case you dreamed your UNCLE died. "the different day, I had a dream approximately ice cream, then, I heard the cow on the neighbor's farm died. As Ice Cream comes from milk, and as milk comes from cows, would desire to this have been a twist of fate?"
