You really should go to a doctor. Make sure you don't have any growths/tumors on your brain. I know that sounds scary, but scarier would be for something really bad to happen because you didn't take action. Good luck.

It may be a form of dislexia. But yes you may have had some kind of trauma that caused it. Try a good multivitamin and see how that works for you. I had it intermintly for the first year I returned from Iraq.

Aww, hun... lol
Don't get to ahead of your self now,
There is probably nothing wrong with you....
You seem to be a very smart person,
So I truly don't think your having mental issues.
This could be due to lots of different things....
One of the reasons you could be going through this
may be due to the fact of stress.
Stress could be a huge factor in this problem your having.
If you are under lots of stress,
it could be what's making it harder for you to concentrate.
You also may not be exercising your mind enough,
You need to challenge yourself more, mentally and physically.
It's about how much you can actually endure.
The more & more you challenge yourself,
The stronger you become.
You may think your terrible at reading,
Or you can't fully get your concentration on one subject,
But if you try,
and work on it...
while being patient...
you will get there.
Your not "stupid or dumb" by any means.
Another thing that could very well be possible,
Is you may be dislexic.
There is nothing wrong with it at all,
Infact I have slight dislexia ....
And my brother has it more than I do.
Dislexia is only another way of thinking in the brain.
For instance, My brother is really, really good when it comes to all mathematics, but he is a terrible reader.
He hates reading, and he finds it really hard to concentrate when reading.
But mathematics is a whole different story, when it comes to him.
It's just a few suggestions...
Just try and keep your focus,
Keep challenging your self mentally...
And you will grow & progress a lot more.
Trust me!
I hope I helped... And if there is any further questions about anything or if you wanna chat sometime, Don't hesitate in giving me a shout!
xo

I kind of do the same thing. I don't concentrate like I use to. I try to "hurry" and get it over with. If I take the time, I get it right. I tended to let other things stay on my mind and not concentrate. Try going somewhere quiet, no TV, no Radio, no phone and see how that works for you. If not, then see your physician and discuss with him/her your concerns. I will pray for you.

assuming you are not a heavy drinker or drug abuser, it is possible your brain chemicals have gone out of whack - I suggest you start by seeing your doctor for a complete check up, including CAT scan...you might have a tumor impinging on your reasoning centre in the brain...good luck!
