My advice is to not listen to anyone else but yourself. Set a goal and focus upon it 110%. If you want to play college football, then you must tell yourself that you want to play college football. You must live, eat and breath college football. You must do everything 50% better than your teammate. Don't let others get you down. Even if you don't make it, you can at least know that you tried your hardest. Work hard and you may be surprised by the results.

If you had asked me this question a couple of years ago I would have said no, then I saw NY Jets Center Nick Mangold's little sister manhandling a varsity high school d-line (on the same team her brother played for) and squat over 550lbs. Do I think women will make very good linebackers or running backs? probably not, but if you can beat most the boys at your level then go to Eugene and try out, that's how Katie Hnida made Colorado's team as a kicker and was the first woman to score a point in NCAA football when she transfered to New Mexico. Just remember throughout the history of sports they said African Americans couldn't play quaterback, Japanese couldn't play at the level of MLB ect. ect. If you think you can make it, work your *** off to get faster and have better hand eye coordination and give it a go, why the hell not.

I would say the only thing that would prevent a woman from playing in the NFL is simply nature and the way human beings grow. Keep in mind, playing WR in the NFL almost requires sub 4.5 forty yard dash times. Plus, as women and men grow into their twenties, the differences become more robust. I admire you playing high school football, and I encourage you to follow your dreams. I'm certainly not saying no woman could ever do it, but such a small, small percentage of talented males make the NFL, or MLB, or NBA. Go for it, and good luck making a college team.

Unless you are a massive woman, you can not make it to the NFL. Have you seen some of the hits these guys put on each other? I would recommend that you try to play college football, but dont expect to move on to the next level. If you were to make the team at a major university, like Oregon, it would be a great story. Hell, you would prolly get a made-for-TV movie made about you and who knows, maybe your story will inspire some 6'4" 220 lb girl with 4.4 speed to try and make it to the NFL

Personally I would like to see a girl be able to. Now back to the real world, high school hits aren't as hard or brutal as what happens in the NFL. I'm being neutral on this, but I just don't see how a girl can take a smack down from a 6'1" 220 lbs corner back, or a 6'2" 275 lbs linebacker with out some serious problems. Even the women that are body builders couldn't stand up to that, only from the sheer speed of the athletes to the hit. This is just my opinion so don't take it to heart, and good luck to your what ever you decide.

It is no offense, but the chances of you making it are slim.
The road to the NFL is a long, windy one.
Only 2% of all college football athletes make it on a NFL roster. You need speed like no other, strength like no other, and determination like no other. And that is just to get a tryout with a team!
Once there you need to outplay the veterans, then take their abuse because they are already under contract.
So, the chances that a girl could endure that kind of ridicule and suffering would be slim and none.

Good Luck becoming a Duck! My teenage daughter and I have been having a debate about girls being able to play in the NFL. Her debate by the way. While I tell her it is pretty much physically impossible for girls to be able to compete, she claims that it is just men not wanting girls to play in a mens sport and that there are girls out there that can play. It's a riot, she ends up in tears and then walks away. I'll tell her about you so she can have some ammo to fire back at me. She will be your #1 fan.

hell if you're good enough i don't see why not. Most coaches will probably assume things right off the bat cuz ur a girl but if you prove that ur better than the rest of the competition i don't see that the coach would have a legit reason not to play you. I say go for it.

you will never make it to the nfl, men dont want to kill women, it would be an absolute slaughter. Imagine going up against ray lewis, brian urlacher, jonathan vilma, or shawn merriman, its not gonna happen. I dont know about the womens league im sure you can make it just like anyone can make it in the wnba, good luck.

Most every NFL team employs women that are out there performing every sunday! Are you hot and can dance? You too could be a cheerleader!
