The Hobby Center has three levels of seating: Orchestra, Mezzanine and Gallery. Which is best for viewing performances?

It actually depends on what type of show you are seeing. I've lived in Houston since I was born, and have even toured the Hobby Center itself when it was built in 2000, also seeing many shows there as well.

Generally, if you are seeing a show that involves a bunch of action, like flying, as in "Wicked," mezzanine seats are best. but if the show is mainly singing, or dancing, Orchestra is great, because is gets you in closer to the performance.

Overall, the entire Hobby Center was designed so that every single seat could receive maximum fulfillment out of a performance. So, any seats are great. (no matter where you sit, it's always good to bring binoculars, if you have them)

orchestra is almost always the best as you are closest to the action.
