Depends on what you want to know. Kent now is different to Kent in the past. Parts of London were once Kent (the Queens House in Greenwich as the Kent Country home of William and Mary), the coast is different as land has been reclaimed from the sea. Kent has a great maritime history linked especially with the Tudors and is home many significant Castles.
The difficulty in the UK is that geographically a county may look like a small area but the density of History packed into it will be huge - you're gonna have to research a little more specifically!
