Years ago when I was waiting tables this group of mentally/physically handicapped women would come to the restraunt once a month. I would make it my goal to look them in the eyes and compliment each one about their hair or their outfit. They would just smile and glow, kinda shy in a way. I felt that most people would probably just turn their heads away from them. I didnt want to be that kind of person. A smile can go a long way

if i am in a close setting with some1, yes, i usually do compliment . if there is an elderly lady that looks like she could use 1, THATS the 1 compliment. it takes their mind off their troubles 4 only a second,but it makes them smile longer. feels good on both sides.

well thank you young lady and you look nice yourself this and I am 49 not hardly young. It is good to compliment strangers you never know what is going on in their world and that compliment or smile may be just what they need to hang on until they get it together

Many times for a great haircut, nice outfit, or a bag I just had to talk about. Usually a flattered 'thank you'! and more often than not, a little info as to where same was acquired in case I want to get one!

yes.a few months ago i seen a guy getting into an aston martin DB9 and i just told that he had a fantastic taste in cars.he'd never seen me before but he accepted the compliment & then drove off

Yes. Maybe they had a really cute hairstyle or something like that. They just say thank you and go on about their business, same as I would do.

yea.. complimented some girl in utah cause she was crazy at playing pool.. she smiled and continued to kick my a s s.. lol
