NO Way would I do such a thing. And I wouldn't have someone back that did that at my house. Were these people born in a BARN???
And tell them "why R U just gping in my Fridge"? Mister/ Miss nosey. And I don't do it even at Close friends house.
An easy way outta that is to say, WAIT, I'll get it!

Of course you wait to be asked. It is rude to do otherwise and not cult at all. Wait until they offer you a drink, or lead you to the fridge.

I almost thought this was a line from "The Wizard Of Oz" with Dorothy and the Good Witch, LOL. But, back to your question, I always wait to be asked if I want something to drink. :)

I usually wait to be asked, but even when I'm being asked, I refuse. I know, not the most polite thing to do, but there's just something about accepting food from strangers in foreign houses that makes me uncomfortable.

Depends on how well I know them. If they're a best friend or a very close friend, I just go for it because that's what I expect them to do in my house.
If its someone I don't know well, I will wait. If I'm REALLY thirsty, then I will certainly ask for a beverage.

Depends who it is. I have two friends who would expect that and get peeved if I ask. Other than those two, I would ask or wait to be asked.
