I've had a dirt devil for several years. it works great although it is loud. I have 3 sons who are hard on things like vacuums---the first piece to break off was the cord holder. Then the pipe broke where it joins the hose( fixed with duct tape). then the extension pipe got cracked & has since disappeared along with all the other attatchments except one small brush. (it's only still on it's port because it is jammed on there & difficult to get off)
otherwise it works really well! :)

Back when I worked as a housekeeper, I used Dirt Devils. And they were good little machines. I have a Bissel bagless now, but I've never tried a Dirt Devil bagless.
Whichever machine you get, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
