gods rules that we know of are writen in the book called the bible, as for me changing my sex or any other transsexual who wants to change there sex there is no bible verse, term or any scriptures that says changing sex is against his will, the bible doesn't even mention men born with XXY or XX chromosomes, or even hermaphrodites aka intersexed people, i dont believe in any god and will never be a slave to any religion again but, gods rules are simply out of date for this modern day life that we live in, but in no way is it against gods will or choice.

Interestingly enough, in some Arab countries, Sex Change operations are paid for by the Muslum Governments because it still is an encouragement of heterosexuality. The only explicit rules from God I know of is the ten commandments and no where there does it say you can't change your gender.
It reminds me of when my fundamentalist father told me getting a tattoo or piercing is damaging to the body God gave me and that those people would go to Hell.
I strongly encourage people to determine their own rules.

Why should gender change be an abomination? These people were born in the wrong body...if anything, if a god/dess existed they would be to blame for allowing that to occur...the person getting the change is just righting a wrong...
Can you imagine inside your head and heart you KNEW you were a female...you felt it down to your core, but your body was that of a male (or vice versa)...why should you be forced to live that way? To feel you were in the wrong body all your life, especially if the means to change that existed?
The abomination is expecting people to conform to a narrow belief or idea and not allowing them to be who they truly are...especially if it harms no one...

The United States of America is not a Christian nation. One of its founding principles was that it WOULD NOT have a national religion. As such, whether or not changing gender is a violation of God's rules it SHOULD NOT be illegal in the U.S. because of religious inclinations. End of story. I do not mean to offend any one, but this is the simple truth of our nation's relationship with religion.

Why do we as a society lock up people who rape and murder? Didn't God make those people with the urge to do those horrible things? If your answer is that it's in the bible to not rape and murder, isn't it also in the bible that God commanded Jericho to plunder and murder people who didn't believe in him? That's not the kind of God that I want to follow. Don't live your life around a book written by MEN 3,000 years ago or so. I'm a MtF transgender person and I have never been happier and more fulfilled in my life than I have been since I started my transition. I would think that God would want his people to be happy with their lives no matter what others say about it. All the answers here dealing with going to the doctor are true. If you are sick, you should just deal with it because God wanted you to be sick! See how stupid that sounds.

The mixture of politics and religion is very hypocritical overall. The body is supposed to be the temple, so in some regards it may be seen as such a violation of human kind, but adding a tattoo or piercing could be considered the same violation.

It isn't a violation of god's rule. People should be free to be who they truly are, i don't think you fully understand how trangender people feel inside. Even though i'm not a transgender person i think i kind of understand, they were born with the wrong body to match how they feel inside. It's just a correction on their part in order to feel like the person they really are. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Newsflash, your religion has no place in Law or in the lives of people other than the believers. If you don't like Gay Marriage, Abortions, Sex Reassignment Surgery or any of the other thousand things you THINK your religion prohibits, then YOU shouldn't do them. You have absolutely no authority to attempt to force others to live by your religion than the believers of Islam have to attempt to force American women, even the non-believers, to wear veils.
Those of you who insist that others have to follow the tenets of YOUR religion are the only true Abominations in this country.

Do you believe people have the right to change their faces if they have cleft palates? To change their eyes if they were born nearsighted?
Do you believe that people have the right to change their noses or stomachs to be more aesthetically pleasing?
If you do, why is it wrong to get plastic surgery to change your physical gender?
In a free society, which we are, you can get the surgery, marry someone who's had it, turn them down, oppose it, whatever. A society that allows people to modify their bodies to their needs and desires...won't make you modify your body to society's desires. I'm not TS, but I'm very thankful for that.

If you feel you are born in the wrong body, you have every right to change gender.
Abomination??
What is your problem.
Doctors are also Gods creations
And the knowledge they have too.
Don't you ever use any medication?
Also an abomination.
You stop yourself from dying when you are very ill.
But you do go see a doctor:explain that to me please?
Wasn't;t it your time to go?
Greetings :Rob.
Do some real thinking about this.
