Umm, definitely make a police report (I hope you already have!!). Depending on what (if anything) is missing from your house, you need to report all of those items. You should let all of your neighbors know, in case they saw something and to warn them because something similar may happen to them.
My aunt thought her house was broken into once because she couldn't find her expensive watch, but it was in her car...so I hope you're really sure that someone broke in. Be logical, good luck.

I would call the police. Make sure you don't touch anything, because they may be able to get fingerprints. Check and see it anything is missing, and tell the police. Good Luck!
