how do i fix problems with windows xp files?

my administrator folder has become unaccessible

Windows thinks administrators don't have privileges, and Bill Gates is behind ruining the computers of the world. XP is a big virus.

Since you neglected to tell us what set up you are running it is hard to give a definite answer. But if you have the OS CD you should be able to do a restore and fix that. If you have Raid 0 then your hard drive will have a partition on it with all you need to do a restore or reload of the system.

the problem is:
* - you have been login with other user instead of administrator.
* - your user account doesn't have administrator permission.
* - your administrator user's files are private.
* - your computer has been infected by virus.

to resolve:
* - please login with administrator user
* - please make sure you have administrator permission to view or correct the security permission. (for administrator permission for a user account please click on start button > control panel > user accounts)
* - if your admisitrator folder is private, then it has been set to access the administrator user only. to change the permissions manualy please open my computer, then click on tools, and select folder options from menu, select view tab and disable "use simple file sharing" from the list by clicking on apply button. at this point right click on the folder you don't have permission, and select propertise. click on security tab and add your user to the list.
* - install an antivirus, make sure its updated and the scan your computer.

It sounds like a permissions problem but okay, if you think it is an XP problem.....

open up a cmd window. Type this in there. SFC /scannow and if that doesn't work, type SFC /SCANBOOT

I still think it is a permissions problem.

Do you have adminstrator rights? Try a system restore to fix your problem.
