I bought a chuck, polishing wheel (firm), and a stick of some metal polish, but its not working for me. I've never had to restore the metal window trim before. It looks like aluminum, and I thouhgt it would easy. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks.

Flitz,(non abrasive) works great for restoring dull finishes, then you can use some kind of wax.
