It depends on the university you are accepted into. First, you have to apply to one and they will ask you or your sponsor to show that you have the money to cover all years of education. That is, if you are planning on getting an AA, then you´ll have to show that you have money to cover both years of study, that includes tuition, books, room and board and health insurance.
Once you are accepted into the university, they will provide the necessary forms and apply for the student visa.

You should show enough money to fund your course for its full duration, plus living expenses (food, accommodation, travel...etc) in the country where you intend to study.
