I watched Black Beauty the second part last night, I cannot watch the first as that video has broken, but Ginger was a grey, I remember Merrylegs being a grey pony?
What colour are they, Shouldn't Merrylegs be grey and Ginger be chestnut (or Liver Chestnut?)

According to the book, Ginger was a sorrel or chestnut. Merrylegs was a dappled gray pony.

well of course black beauty is black. merrylegs is gray. and ginger was a chestnut-although where i come from she is sorrel- but she was a Thoroughbred and they only recognize chestnut. she was too reddish color to be liver chestnut. they are more brownish
