Ethiopia is a close U.S. ally and capturing suspected al-Qaeda terrorists is a major priority for the United States in the Horn of Africa.
The U.S. has a counterterrorism task force based in neighboring Djibouti and has been training Kenyan and Ethiopian forces how to protect their borders.
The Navy's Fifth Fleet also has a maritime task force patrolling in international waters off the Somali coast. The mission of both task forces is to capture or kill al-Qaeda elements in the Horn of Africa and will act if given a clear opportunity.

SO the WAR is throwing the Islamic Courts out of Somalia just when everyone thought nothing could stop them taking over the country.

No as long as he is in office the war will not end, President Ford hit the nail on the head when he left a letter to be read after his death. It was on the news and he said we should never have gotten involed in the first place, We need a President that will get all our troops back home where they should be, and let them fight it out, we don't need there oil, they can start the pumps back up that are in the United States, they are just sitting there rusting.

I am glad that Bush is being vigilant about the terrorists in Africa, yet what war did we "win against the Islamic Imbeciles?" Are you trying to say that we just "won" the war in Iraq because Sadam has been hung? Winning the war in Iraq is way more than killing Sadam.
