Is this a question about general employment or a specific job? anyway General questions would be: Do you like it? How long have you been working there? How much do they pay to start? (They better not ask how much YOU make) How are the hours? (If they need a job and thinks it sounds good.) Are they hiring ? And What made you want to work there?

I work in the office of a Budweiser distributor. The most common question is "Can you get free beer?". Every employee gets a case of beer at the end of every month. I don't drink, so I take a case of spring water. (Milk is my drink of choice)
Here is a little humor...Thursday, one of our drivers came back to the warehouse telling us that someone ripped off an empty keg from his truck, while he was delivering cases inside a liquor store.
Imagine how disappointed everyone at that New Years Eve party will be when they realize the keg is empty! Considering a full keg weighs about 165 lbs or more, wouldn't their first clue be that they could lift the keg in the first place?
Makes me wish that show "America's Dumbest Criminals" was still on the air! :-)

It usually isn't a question, but a comment:

"So THAT explains the voice!"

People don't expect a deep contralto speaking voice to come out of a 4' 10" tall 24-year-old woman.

I'm Head Chef at a bar/restaurant. The amount of people that want to tell you how they do a certain dish is nauseating. I've learnt how to shut off and just smile and not to look absolutely bored s*!tless with what they are saying!

"Therapeutic apher-WHAT?"

I work with R&D to prototype and build therapeutic apheresis machines. In short, I make machines that spin blood to separate out the components for many different uses. Plasma exchange, red blood cell transfusion (for sickle cell anemia), and autologous stem cell collection (for chemotherapy patients) are a few of the things my work accomplishes.

It's usually easier to say, "I build medical equipment."
