Look up your computer at http://www.coastmemory.com These people are very reliable, and will provide you with terrific assistance.

You save a few bucks when you BUY on-line, but you can also call 1-800-463-6679. Their guarantee is good, so if you have trouble, they will help.

Maybe you should have 512MB or more.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Flash disks, USB sticks, external hard drives.
Micro drives and a few others.
The topic is external mass storage devices.
You likely mean either USB sticks or hard drives.
The pen sized ones are the sticks mostly everything
that's bigger than a big marker stick is a hard drive.
Sizes for sticks go up to a few gigabytes. Hard drives
are really just normal drives in an external packaging.
So the storage sizes are the same. Up to a few hundred
gigabytes.
Prices for the sticks can be painful. They have a bad
price/capacity ratio. But they have transportation and
size advantages. You don't need an external power
source either. The book sized ones aren't really much
more expensive than internal drives. They're basically
the same drive. You just pay the case which is about
15-20$ extra. Notebook sized ones are more expensive
because of the smaller form factor of the disk.

If you just want to expand storage capacity and not
take it with you on a daily basis I'd go for a book sized
one. Best price/capacity ratio. Also fastest. You'll need
a high speed port like USB2 or Firewire for them. They
usually only work with either of them although some offer
both. USB2 is mostly cheaper. Expansion cards (in case
you don't have USB2) start at about 20-30$ and offer
4 or more additional ports.

Edit: LOL. Didn't think about RAM

If you mean RAM then you need to know what type your system uses: DDR or DDR2 or one of the older types like PC100 or PC133. The maximum that you can put into the machine depends on how many slots the board has and how much it supports per slot. Knowing the main board manufacturer and model number would let us (or you) find the detailed information.

If you mean hard drive storage, you can go to a computer store like BestBuy or CompUSA and get one that will plug into your USB port.
