I will be homeless next week and wanted to know of all the resources available to me. Where is the safest place that I can sleep in my car for a period of time?? and where can I take a shower?

I've read that you're trained in Social Work...have you just suddenly become aware of the impending poverty you face? I would hope that the SA Dept of Health and Human Services could've assisted you...what about family? If not, try the Sam Shelter or the Salvation Army, or drive downtown to San Fernando Cathedral and ask for assistance. I hope this is not a scam to get us to email you and then send "funds". Let me know more please...how did you get to this point?

Ok so you just bought a house, and have instantly lost it? You want custody of your children, but have no place to house them?

What's next?
No seriously thought being homeless is not easy. If you are not an addict or something you should be able to get extensive help from the goverment as a single mom. Such as: Welfare benefits in the form of food stamps and a monthly stipend, and also section 8 should provide for housing.
As far as custody of your kids go, the courts favor mothers unless they are severely incapable of providing for them.
