That may be the reason why he invaded Iraq to verify the claims of WMD and link to A/Q Osama. Why can’t we forgive him? I don’t think just removing Saddam only was his aim at that cost. Some people blame him as if he new Iraq in and out???

Well, Bush didn't lie about the WMDs but he was badly misinformed. Back in the aftermath of 9/11, Bush considered what other ways terrorists would strike again and one of the ways he considered was that Saddam would supply weapons to terrorists like but not necessarily Al Queda. The CIA had told Bush that Saddam had nuclear weapons and had decided to make even more at facilities all around Iraq. The then directer, George Tenet even said "it was a slam dunk" that nuclear weapons were inside Iraq. Bush went to the UN to get them out but they all turned away and the invasion was on. The war in Iraq has been run VERY VERY BADLY but that doesn't make Bush a liar or an evil mastermind but just a incompetent wartime president.

Check out Bob Woodward's book "Plan of Attack" for what I think is a deep and unbiased look at the beginning of the Iraq war and the Bush reasons behind invading. Or you can just listen to some of the blind idiotic sheep or rather have their opinion shaped by reading a couple of posts or weird conspiracy internet sites.

No one has any right to claim anything. I get so tired of hear this liar liar garbage that it's making me sick. Most of the hardcore defenders make me even more sick.

The truth is we as the general public know NOTHING. We can claim he knew their wasn't a thing but there is no way anyone can tell. None of us were briefed when the president made this decision none of us worked at the CIA and thus we don't deserve to pass blame on something we seriously no nothing about, because when we start saying stuff like he lied then were spreading assumptions.

The same goes with the hardcore defenders of the president. He's not the smartest man alive. He made a mistake you can't defend the man like a saint. He did start a war. Those are the facts and it should be to facts that we base things on NOT hearsay!

think of you could stand a sprint history? The preliminary weapons inspections with the aid of the UN started in 1991, almost immediately after the Gulf conflict. Saddam had equipped up an arsenal of chemical weapons and had used them in the past to kill an estimated 20,000 human beings, which comprise 5000 Iraqi Kurds. He used the two mustard gasoline and tabun, a nerve agent. As overdue as 1999, Iraq rejected yet yet another UN decision (1284) and, after multiple warnings of militia intervention, Saddam ejected the inspectors from his united states. merely before their departure, that they had destroyed 40 8 long selection missiles, 14 extensive-unfold warheads, 30 chemical warheads, 40,000 chemical munitions and 690 loads of chemical brokers. there became no good monitoring from 1999 on - or perhaps the government weapons Inspector, Scott Ritter, admitted that even however the inspectors had placed and destroyed extremely some the laboratories, production kit and chemical brokers got here across - he might desire to no longer make particular that they had eradicated Saddam's WMD arsenal thoroughly - which comprise VX nerve brokers. whilst Saddam wasn't expelling the inspectors from the rustic, he became denying them get admission to to various homes and distinctive factors. it is the situation on the time whilst the determination to attack Iraq became placed to a vote. ignore approximately any rhetoric approximately "Bush lied" - given Saddam's history and the findings of the inspection communities - HOW might you have VOTED?

OK I'm going to give an answer, again I cant believe what I am seeing from my own countrymen. I have spent the last 20 years fighting for this country, The GRand ol USof A. I keep hearing the same crap flow out of peoples mouth about the reasons why we are in Iraq!! Why are we anywhere in the world? Folks WE the USA are the ONLY super power in the world. I know thats not a good enough reason to be where we are at and doing what we are doing.. SO again a history lesson... Take it from a soldier who has seen FIRST HAND what GOOD we are doing in the region.

Saddam was an evil dictator, he's dead Victory for the US and the UK. He suppressed his country for 55 years!! Gassed his OWN people. I have had people tell me Yea....so what! If you are one of these people YOU are no better than SADDAM. IF we as a power in this world do not continue the fight against terrorism...EVERYWHERE in the world, the US will eventually ceace to exist. Now you want to talk about the cost? If I had to pay this bill to ensure that MY AMERICAN Family could continue to cook hot dogs & hamburgers in the back yard on a saturday afternoon with out the worry of a guy wearing a dynamite belt of death to walk in and blow us all up.....NAME THE FREAKIN PRICE ILL PAY IT!!!!!!

I have seen what looks like, folks QUIT Complaining about what we are doing. Because I can tell you that I will pay what ever it costs, follow who ever wants to continue the fight against this new age of evil, so that MY AMERICAN children will never have to see what I have seen in that country. And if you think for one solitary minuet that it cant happen here....YOU ARE STUPID!! WAKE UP and smell the coffee, because if we give up now....we may not wake up at all.

He lied big time. On his first day in office, he told his intimates that he was going to get rid of Saddam because he (Saddam) had put out a contract on Daddy at the time of the Gulf War. Along came 9/11 and Bush had the perfect excuse. With a little help from Daddy's friends in the CIA - remember, Daddy used to be the Director of the CIA - they doctored some photos and it was bombs away. There was no link to al Qaeda - Saddam even told Mike Wallace in a "60 Minutes" interview he feared al Qaeda and wanted nothing to do with them. Bush is a pathological liar is what it amounts to and close to 3000 Americans have died for nothing. Bush should hang his head in shame and be afraid to show his ugly face in pulbic.

Bush is an incompetant liar. He invaded Iraq to prove he could do what his daddy couldn't or wouldn't. Subsequent events have proven that daddy made the right choice.
