No. A society that rejoices at the death of a mass murderer is a society that recognizes the value of it's people. It's the society that tells the world that we will not allow someone with a God-complex to rule us. Society recognizes that a world threat has been removed and rejoices that we are moving forward with eradicating evil forces in the hopes we can all live and live in peace.

We all choose our own path. Saddam chose his and paid the ultimate price as was required by earthly law and God's law.

Maybe it's a warning of deterioration? Latin countries celebrate death and try to recall the dead with "El dia de los muertos." But enjoying watching the process of death, as with Romans in the Colosseum, could that be a sign of serious degeneration?

No way, No how.
At our foundation, we're creatures of pleasure - if the evening network news believes that all we want is violence and death, then they're wrong.
We all live for a bit - we don't get a choice, but we get our chance. Our chance will end, and yes, we plan for it, but maybe, knowing that we can't be here forever is what drives us to try and make the most of our time here...
We may be a species that resigns to death, but as a whole, we don't enjoy it.

yes, a society that kills people is no better than the person that did the killing ,( or whatever they killed him for,) they call it execution, but they might as well call it killing, because that's what it is. I don't think any government has the right to pass a law saying you can kill people, to me it's completely insane, who do they think they are,God.
there are other ways of punishing people, all the people that think killing is ok all have a problem, God will have a judgment day and that's the day each person will have their day, all the holy rollers or anyone else have no right to say who should die and who shouldn't.

Some cultures fear death, others don't. It's a different way of looking at things, not a way to judge a society entirely. We'll all die someday, so that affects ALL of us. Better to deal with it than hide it .
