Who does CNN think they are? I don't belive any new report that says Saddam is dead unless I can actually see the hanging its self. I can take a lame video of myself standing around and then take a picture of myself laying on the ground. I thinik it is all a lie with out proof. I don't think that the media should censor anything. I would like to know your thoughts on the subject. Do you think that the media and the governement should decide what you should see and what you shouldn't?

CNN should have it available- but not on TV where young kids are more likely to see it
I noticed that CNN is not a news station for the most part- Its a bunch of politicians with an agenda
CNN should not sensor like the government shouldn't-BUT there are times when the table has to be turned
The US cannot give out information like spying techniques used on terrorists groups because if that was given out- they would lose that strategy and be setback.
CNN reported leaked information which i think was very unethical Americans do no NEED to know exactly HOW the US intelligence is getting their information- the terrorists do. And when CNN found out how the US spied on the Terrorists they were more than happy to let everybody know what's going on, including terrorists.
The only thing that did was set the US back on a war that is already unpopular to begin with- Good job CNN- keep being the BS politicians you are.
For the most part- dont sensor it! But hen its a matter of the safety of Americans and the success of a war- both the government and reporters need to know when the line has to be drawn

I think definitely there are certain boundaries to be respected for what you should expose in public. But the press seems to have passed that boundary many years ago fx. with paparazzi-scandals and exposure of killings in middle east.

What would practically happen If Saddam what not really dead? He is out of the game anyway isn't he? The fact, that CNN censored the actual hanging, shows at least some kind of respect for what you should broadcast. Kids are watching as well!!

If you really want to see the hanging part, it should be available on the web very soon as everything else is for those who are eager enough to find it. But for me, no thanks!

The world is not open, there are certain things which are to be hidden from the people for some good reasons. the same video might be viewed by an under age boy or girl. so public viewing should not be allowed since it can mentally affect many people.

see first everyone must understand that a person born on this earth would die one day, that is what is life.

Finally coming to point, i would say CNN has done it correct by not showing the entire video, but might release it later ( it solely depends upon their view).

Who are you to flip through the channels and watch ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, MSNBC and the McNeil news while CNN sits there not being watched? You might even be reading the NY Times newspaper in the meantime. By the way, the NY Times website has a new online reader download that makes reading the paper online very convenient. Try looking at the story photo sequence first. Click on any photo to see the whole story.

This seems like an idiotic position, no offense. Well, maybe just a little.

This seem to me like blaiming McDonalds for telling you what to eat. You're welcome to consume any media you want, and if you want to see Sadam hang, for whatever reason, good luck with that. CNN does not have a moral obligation to report the news in a way that makes you happy, so long as they don't obstruct someone else from doing the job.

Ok, lets look at this rationally. Who has an interest in having Saddam alive? Hmm. The new Iraqi government, no. The Americans, so he can embarass them and continue the insurgency, no. He is dead for sure.

LOL. Why should you have to see the hanging? Did we need to see the WMD's before we started the war? Did you need to see Gerald Ford or James Brown dying to believe it? That is sad that you need to see an old man hang and that you do not believe things unless you see them for yourself. The media must censor some things otherwise our society would degrade into chaos.

I just got done saying the same thing to my husband. I WANT to see it. Were so "free" here in America but they control every last detail of our lives. Who is anybody to decide this. It should be made public and for those who are against it or cant stomache it then dont watch. he deserved worse than this, least we could do is watch it.

You can always choose a different venue to see what you really want to see. For example, you can subscribe to Al-Jazeera.

The truth is the actual hanging was not shown even on Iraqui TV.
