The hydra is a good example that I learned in biology. It can either sexually reproduce by releasing sperm and eggs into the water, or it can asexually reproduce by budding.

In addition, and perhaps as a better example, other species of Cnidaria such as jellyfish go through a polyp stage and a medusa stage.

there are a few most are smaller species that only do it asexually when the envirementally stressed such as the komodo dragon in the london zoo, or single celled protozoans
