Know your history people. The U.S. made Saddam Hussein the monster he became. Who gave Saddam his weapons to go after Iran? Who sold him the biological weapons that he used against the Kurds? Who supported him after all of these atrocities? Who then used 2 bogus wars and sanctions that banned everything from pencils to incubators for premature babies to chlorine to purify drinking water killing 2 million including more than 500,000 small children. Regan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and their cronies supported policies that killed 10-20 times the number of people killed by Saddam. They further armed Saddam and gave him more than $50 billion. That picture of Donald Rumsfeld shaking his hand on behalf of Regan was taken AFTER the NY Times showed he was gassing Iranians. These hypocrites then have the gall to say look at Saddam's crimes - please... Let's hold all killers of innocent Iraqis responsible.

Will we look at the tremendous support Saddam got from the U.S.? Or will it be ignored?

2 million dead Iraqis by U.S. action:

According to UNICEF:
1 million deaths up to 1998 from mass starvations and disease due to sanctions (half of which were children)

Executive Director, Carol Bellamy that without the sanctions “there would have been half a million fewer deaths of children under-five in the country as a whole during the eight year period 1991 to 1998.”

When Secretary of State Albright was asked on 60 Minutes if she thought that the death of half a million Iraqi children from the sanctions was a price worth paying, she replied: “This is a very hard choice, but we think the price is worth it.”

The Wars: Iraqi Deaths
1st Gulf War: 205,500 (165,500 were civilians)

They will be held accountable long after all this mess is over with...

Has anyone truly been made accountable for Vietnam?

Kennedy started the ball rolling and he was a loved president...

Nixon made the best effort to end it honourably and is a hated president...

While the republican party still has a strong hold in powerful places... no one can be made accountable for any of the current mess.

Now that Sadam is gone, who is going to be next to pay for the crimes committed in Iraq?
I think Bush and Blair should be the next to be hanged or imprison for life for sending their troops to fight innocent Iraqis civilians.
Moreover, some estimates are that 500,000 Iraqis civilians have been killed by coalition soldiers.
Closer to home 30,000 US soldiers have been severely injured (incapacitated to do any work for life), and over 3,000 have been killed. To make long story short the number is the same with the coalition troops.

Sadam was executed because US accused him of killing 125 civilians 20 years ago.

It is all about civilians isn't it

Saddam hated Iran and so did we. Read Sun Tzu - the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Yes, our mistake was not believing he was a madman to begin with. You act however, as if there have been no atrocities committed in Iran. You also fail to account for the fact that the 'sanctions' came from the UN, not just the US. And the UN hardly cares about what WE think anymore.

So it's our fault Saddam stole the money the UN gave him? Ridiculous

You really are clueless.

You really need to do more research!!! Not enough correct info to support your views. In order to do research you have to do it fairly and find out all info & not try to sway people to think the way you do but give them all the facts and let them make up their mind based on true facts.

When are the Americans presumably like yourself, going to be held accountable for their support of the Communist Hugo Chavez?

The intentions of these American leaders were pure. They cannot be blamed for giving a man power when that man lied to get it. We should turn Iraq into the 51st state and defend it with our lives or kill all the muslims.
