For a new perspective on "cavemen" check out Creswell Crags in Derbyshire, where the only cave art in Britain so far has been found in the last few years. I've been to see the art and it's amazing stuff. This is the website; plenty there to look at and tell you about life in the stone ages( old and new, plus meso)

You need to use a better word than cavemen for your assignment- look up neolithic, paleolithic man, or period.
Also consider the fact that people still live in caves to this day!

The cave men existed long before the ice-age came about. They also existed way before they started using fire for warmth and cooking their food. I am just so really disappointed in our educational system that failed to teach the Americans children about those facts........... I love the history of this world. And the only way not to repeat the mistakes of the pass is to have a firm knowledge of our pass. But some of our so called educational genius still fail to realizes that point...... So that is why we always repeat the mistake of our pass while we still continually fail and suffer great set backs because of it........... And mankind still wonders why we are heading for total destruction...............

Im afraid you have it wrong caveman came as the iceage was ending and yes our ancesters were cave men, or there real title stone age men , because there tools and weapons were made of flint stone
