Because people can think for themselves, they have the cognitive ability to consider the options and make a choice as to which party they choose to support

No one is making them pick one of the two, so no, no one is a sheep. Just conspiracy theorists

Personally, I think America would be better off with more than two political parties. Until this happens, one or the other will win most offices. Therefore, most people choose one of the parties to back.

There are certain issues such as abortion, gun control, social programs, taxation policies, etc. that are decidedly different between the two major US political parties. Most people find themselves on oneside or another of these issues.

Therefore, due to individual beliefs, a person usually finds him/herself agreeing with one party or the other on most occasions.

I can tell you that most of the time I find myself voting for Democrats. I have voted for Republican candidates in the past when I thought they would do a better job than their Democrat opponent.

I think that the political parties market themselves to people, just like brands of pop or cigarettes do. They pick demographics that they want in their camp and go after them hard. Maybe the people are sheep for following them, but they follow them because they think their beliefs are being represented.

Because the other one has people like you in it. Btw, do you know what the non-sheep party is? Goats.

Read about it in the Bible, if you desire.

I am loyal to ideas. It just so happens the Republican party represents a majority of those ideas.

Talk about sheep...

My thoughts exactly, vote the issues, don't vote the party. I have yet to find a party that completely agrees with my values.
