I just got Proactive, and my face is really bad. I go back to school in Friday, which is 6 days away. So I was wondering how long it takes to start working.

Yes, but there's a cheaper version of Proactive, that works just a well, it's called Acne Free, you can buy it at Wal-Mart.

Most face products take anywhere from 2-3 weeks to see any full results. It wont clear your acne right away but once your face gets used to the chemical it will begin to work. I've used proactiv for 6 years and can surely say it does work, just give it time.

YES IT DOES WORK! When I used it, i noticed a difference in 2 days, even the next day I felt better, but after two weeks it will get allot better. Be patient! However proactive is great, but after a few months it stopped working for some reason, so I moved on. But I still use the sulfur mask that proactive has, its amazing!

Proactive did not work for me, or about 10 of my friends. i have used proactive, and i had very bad acne, i used it for 3 consecutive months, and all it did was give me more acne in places i never had, along with a friend of mine. an drain my account with all the extras..
SO I SWITCHED...
i am now using murad, it is wonderful, it is similar to the proactive solutions with the 3 steps but it seems to be alot stronger my face has not turned red or peeled and it worked in 3 days.. sometimes i skip a day and it still seems to keep my face clear. and my face feel silky and soft and also it brings out the natural glow in the skin. i absolutely love Murad, go to there website and check it out. www.murad.com and watch testimonials, as a Plus it is actually cheaper then Proactive solutions.

Just give it some time and it might get better. I used Proactive before. At first it worked in about a month. I stopped using it for a few months. Then I decided to use it again. My face started to get dry and flaky. I don't know why. But if it doesn't work if you're using it for months. I suggest you should go to a dermatologist to see which products work best for you.

I was watching Tyra one day, and the lady on there said that in order to get the full results of any acne treatment, you need to use it for 6 months. That's a really long time, but I hear proactive works quicker than that.

i don't really remember because my acne was never that bad, but i think it was around 2-3 weeks. you have to continuously use it for it to be effective. if you stop, it'll come back immediately. i've used it for about 6+ months. so don't forget, once you wake up, use it. before you go to bed, use it. you have to have it on your face at all times.

It didn't work for me and the cream actually made my acne worse. Throw away all the over-the-counter zit treatments and go to a dermotologist to get a perscription.

Give it at least 3 weeks. It will probably get bad for the first week or so.
