I think it take men longer because when women go through such heart ache they have their friends and families that they interact with. By doing this it release the emotional pain built up inside them. Where as a man, we tend not to really express ourselves in that manner. We tend to curse over it or lose control because we cant handle the the opposite end of that double edge sword called love.

been a guy i don't know if i can give a true answer or an answer you may like, i think it really depends on the person and who they fall in love with and the reason they fell out of love, if a guy is cheating then he will get over it quickly becase there is someone else, but i truly feel that if a guy is in love and there is no doubt about his love, when it is broken he will be, men don't cry or open there heart very much and sometimes this is for the best,
i've been hurt by one girl over a year ago and ever now that i'm in a new relationship i still think of her, however she was my first love,
the answer is yes, guys take longer to heal if real love hurt them, something you want back but can't will hurt.
if it does hurt it wasn't real and therefore not important

I think generally speaking, it is women who fall in love harder and take longer to get over it.. Women are incredibly emotional creatures... runs deeper, etc...
I guess at the end of the day, it depends on the individual.

Some men do i think, but i think that men can move on faster than women, women tend to mop around, and chat to the friends, men do keep their emotions to themselves, and i think that men, seem to think that every women is going to hurt them like their first love.....and become a women hater and user.........good luck and god bless

Men don't give their heart away as fast as women do. After a long relationship and there is a breakup, I suppose it depends on just how much he cared. Some men are more sensitive than others, just like women.

I think men and women get hurts just as bad.
Men just have a different way to deal with it.
However... in most cases... not only men have to deal with the hurt emotionally... but they also cope the financial hurt... and that is the one which hurt the most. They rarely recover from that one.

You're right about the not talking about it, but I don't think we fall in love more, on some occasions, the man may love the woman more than she loves him, but I'm sure the other way around must also be true. It would be impossible to measure it, to be able to prove one sex loves harder than the other.

Exceptions to every rule but generally, yes.
Contrary to popular opinion men tend to be the more romantic of the sexes.
Probably because women as child-bearers and child-rearers need to be more practical.

I think men do cry - at night when they're alone..they're still human but we all know society expects them to be brave (so I feel sorry for them in this case)...not many men will allow you to how they feel at the end of a relationship..........if they ignore you after it's because you've REALLY pi@@ed them off or they want to move on but they were hurt by you...........

men and women aren't so different. guys keep it inside but talking doesn't do much. the healing will still be arduous. but.. time heals all things.
plus.. you'll fall harder in love if you know what hurt is like.. because it hits you when you least expect it.
