No. He should have been hanged half-way to death, thousands of times.
Only God can judge. It's a little late for discussion.

NO. He would not have had this fate if he had bootlicked the Americans. Most countries ruled by monarchy will defend coupe attempts with ruthless force. After Saddam’s removal if we are to access the situation in Iraq it does make more sense to understand why Saddam ruled Iraq with iron fists. Iraqis were better off under Saddam than they are today under the so called American sponsored Govt.
It is very unfortunate and disgusting to note about people like Bush, Blair walk free when they should be tried under the international terrorism act for their actions which is directly responsible for the deaths of thousands world over. It is a pity and shame on the people of America for having elected a president like BUSH. His actions have only added more fuel to the already deteriorated views especially of the people in Middle East.
Life is like a wheel what goes around comes back at you. Law of Karma says everyone pays for their deeds and this goes for people like Bush & Blair as well.

Let's see now.
Saddam tortured people
Bush condoned torture, so is a part of it.
I say what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Bush used the fear factor on the USA people to get into the Iraq war.
We will never have Democracy over there because we would have to change the religion as well. That won't happen.
We don't have any business being over there in the first place.
911 has nothing to do with Iraq, Bushe ven said the same, now.
So, yes, he seserved to be hanged along with a few others.

He is a human being like US Regardless of what he did.I believe in the spirit of forgiveness. Peace to the world. That not going to happen. As I'm typing right now, more people are being blown up. YEAH peace indeed. While he was on trial, did the situation change? Are the corpses of the dead ones gonna come back? It's not going to change anything. Many Iraqi's are gonna die along not us in the west. Suicide bombers and loyalist are going to revenge killing scores of people . So what's the point? Why must more people die because of this man? NOBODY ! NOBODY should be treated (dehumanized by hanging)like that for whatsoever reason. LET GOD BE THE JUDGE

Not only Saddam, nobody should be punished with death sentence.
Judgements should reform persons who become criminals because of the society. The society should take responsibility. Death penalty is cruel and cheaper to the society.

thats a very contraversial question.
the guy killed thousands of people, especially shias.
but under his leadership iraq became one of the most secular contries of south east asia... u could see women in skirts, working and people drinking freely in bars.... and to add we also found out iraq had no WMD's which was the APPARNET reason for the invasion of iraq.
i am quite undecided about saddam's hanging, but as for bush, i think he should be give the death penalty for crimes agains humanity

yes!!! coz i believe that v all have to die one day so rather dying in vain we should get a chance to recount our deeds and that is for Saddam also! Saddam was a cruel dictator and he was having no religious context in his life so the people who are condemning his hanging should understand that this is a justice of Almighty for those innocents who were killed by him.As it has said also"Bure kam ka anjam bura hota hai".

No, he should have been pulled up halfway through his death, then lowered again. He tortured many people and killed many more. This hanging was a easy quick way out. He will not join any good force in his death.
