Ok i just got a pair of Celestrons 10x50 Optiview LPR and used them for the first time tonight. Clear skies are scarce you know. But anyways, when looking at the moon there is a severe glare/reflection from the lenses, like when looking at a light source through doubledglazed windows. Have the binoculars been damaged or whats the story??
thanks

These are advertised for daytime viewing, so the coatings may not be optimized for night viewing. If these are the ones with the polarizing filters, make sure the filters are out of the light path.

I am not familiar with those binoculars, but it sounds to me like some, or all of the lenses are not coated to be reflection proof. Binoculars that are so coated are considerably more expensive.
