Move everything out of your living room or cover it up with sheets and put up some tables and have an apartment sale. I have been to some basement sales and that's how they do those. Good Luck.

I have had a front yard sale.......made 700 bucks. My friends call me the garage sale queen! Do you have a friend who needs to sale stuff.....have a garage sale at their house. Mulit family garage sales usually draw more people and u have someone to help with the customers. a One piece of advice..i have had sale for the school, church I've even been pd to have sales for friends....so the best advice i can give you is...don't just hang sign (do hang signs) but also put it in the local paper! The only bomb I ever had was when a friend convinced me when did not need to run and add. I always make over 200.00, and lots of times more ,that garage sale i made 88 bucks. The only reason I made that much was because of a sale around the corner and I went and told all the people where my sale was. If your friends dont want to have a sale.....then run an add in the paper letting people know what you have for sale. But be careful who u let in your home.........good luck. Also most of the time i call all my friends and tell them I'm having a sale. One time I had to cancel the sale due to illness......but i made over 300 dollars cause my friends bought all my dvds, books, and a few large items. sorry keep thinking of things..hehehe using a cash boxs is not a good idea, you get busy and set it down and its an easy target for someone to pick up. I use and apron and take large bills out and put them in my pocket or my house. When you have 7 people all in a hurry to pay u and get to the next sale....its easy to hand out a ten instead of a dollar.

Ask a friend who has a house who might be interested in selling things as well and have a joint yard sale! That way, both of you could profit on selling things you don't need anymore. You could also possibly ask the apartment owner about whether or not you could have an apartment yard sale for all the people living there that could be organized effectively, although I don't know if apartment owners would be up for that type of thing.
Hope this helps,
JH

I don't think you can have a garage sale if u live in an apartment. u can take the items u want to sell and maybe put them in like a friends yard.

You can sell them online with no fears or concerns at craigslist.com. There is no cost, you post what you want to sell on a site specific to the area you live in and either leave your phone number or e-mail address. Then just wait to be contacted by someone who lives in your area. You don't have to deal with mailing anything or having someone come to your apartment. For your safety you can arrange to meet any buyers in a public place and exchange the merchandise for cash right there. It's as easy as that!

You could put an ad in the local newspaper. OR You could organize a community yard sale at the apartment complex you live at. OR You can set a table up at a flee market.

See if other's in your building would like to do a building rummage sale. You could also sale your things by putting an ad on craigslist but list it as sale and put a time like 10-2 so that people know that you will have have traffic in and out. Don't make
private appointments.

You could always be kind and donate it to places like salvation army, value village, or to your church and they will donate it some
where for you. Another thing you could do is have a garage or yard sale, but team up with your friend or family member, have a table for her/him and a table for you, 2 cash boxes aswell. There is also one other thing that you could do, it is join in on a church or other program, it is fun to do as well! IF you don't need to make money donate it to people you need to, if money is the reason of the garage sale then you should team up or borrow a friends driveway!

You could advertise in the local paper, or if you have a friend with a house you could borrow their house for a morning/afternoon. If you are just wanting to get rid of them, you could donate the books to a library or an old folks home. You could also pawn the video games.

Ask a family member that lives close to you if you can have a yard sale at there house. Mabey they could contribute to it. Or if it's nothing worth a ton of money give it to the homeless shelter or something.
