Homophobia is a fear of one's own homosexuality. Homophobes have a need to prove to themselves that they aren't gay, they do this by bashing.

I think it's sad. Look at people who come in here and post question after question just to show that they hate gays and lesbians. It reminds me of a talk show I saw where they had invited klansmen. They'd brought a home video of their Christmas in which they had decorated their tree with klan trappings. I thought it was so sad (and scary!) that all aspects of their life were fired by hate. I am motivated by so many other things - curiosity, a desire to create or learn, a desire to heal myself and, of course, love, not just of my partner but my friend, family and kitties! I can't remember the last time I planned and carried out an act based on hate. (I did want to put sugar in my ex-boss's school bus, but I decided to wait six months and by that time I was over it.) Imagine if your whole life was devoted to printing leaflets, passing laws, discussing and plotting - not for a cause but against a group of people. How pitiful is that?

First of all, let me say that I am a Christian. Secondly, let me say that I do not judge gay people. Let me explain as a Christian we do not condone sin. That is to say, that sin in a persons life ends in death. Why Christians condemn gays? I don't know? Listed in the bible next to homosexuality is fornicators, adulterers, but also grumblers and malicousness etc. Homosexuality is just as wrong as any other sin. Who then can be saved? It is important to note that, because we are all in need of a saviour. We need someone to burden our wretched and selfish souls. If anyone thinks himself as a righteous person he will be put to shame. For all our good works and righteous appearences are like filthy rags in God's eyes. It takes the Blood sacrafice of Christ to be sanctified and purchased in the kingdom of God. I know and everyone who truly believes in Christ knows that we are not to judge (condemn) others. We are to pray and love others. However, with this being said as a friend would you not tell someone who is on a road that leads to death let them know that they need to make a change toward a better eternity? It is important to know that Jesus is a friend of all sinners. All who come to Him will not be turned away. I am in need of Jesus, who stands before me to protect me from the evils of hell. I am not a self worthy person to go into heaven. He is the at door knocking, anyone who opens to him will in no way be ashamed. Pray to Him and see if he will answer your prayers.

Cause they are ignorant bigots who think they are so tough and know everything, but a majority of the time they use incorrect grammar, horrible spelling, and nothing they ever say has any proof to back them up except for a fictional fairy tale book, some call it the bible.

It's a free country. Athiests go to the Religious section even though they have no religion. I go to other sections even though I shouldn't officially go there... its called freedom.

1) They don't have a real life.
2) They aren't creative enough to "hate" someone else on a personal, one-to-one basis; it's just easier to zone in on a sociological group and vent.
Sad.

because small-minded bigots like to inflate their tiny egos by passing judgment and bashing other people. I suppose for some sick reason, bashing people makes inferior people feel superior. I think some of them are closet cases as well.

Just to argue with people. That is the only reason. If it bothers you, you should report them. However, you shouldn't care what others think....in fact argue back!
