hi im 41 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I had my membrane sweep 3 days ago and this morning at 4.30am i woke up with back pains and painful contractions across my lower abdominal area. They averaged at every 8 minutes then slowed right down after about 2 and half hours of pain. they never totally vanished just went to 15 minutes and less painful then this afternoon i had the same again every 8 minutes on average and the pain lasting around 1 minute each time. Now they have slowed again and are about 10 minutes apart. My friend said there is such thing as slow labour but im confused. I know its not braxton hicks as i had really hard ones since 4 months an the difference is really obvious. can labour start off irregular? and how long does it take for contractions to speed up? please any advice as im confused.

Labor always begins irregularly in most women. Most don't realize it until it becomes more painful and regular, or their membrane ruptures. You are most likely in labor, or should be evaluated by a professional at the very least.

Labour can start off irregular, but there is no point in going to the hospital/calling your midwife until the contractions are 5 minutes apart or less.

You're 41 weeks and having something similar to contractions. Even if you're not in labour, this is something to get checked out! Go to the hospital!

The worst that could happen if you DO go to get it checked out is to be told that it's nothing. If you don't get checked out and there is a problem or you ARE in labour, then things could end less than positively.

factor a million: each and every occasion has to locate volunteers to stand as applicants. no longer adequate volunteers - no longer adequate applicants. factor 2: status in a hopeless ward, inspite of the actual shown fact that ideal for all the national events, isn't consistently useful, and, of path, expenditures money. status means putting up a deposit, and publishing election cloth. factor 3: In 2007 i do no longer think of any occasion is fielding applicants in greater beneficial than 60% of all the council seats up for election. there's a ward close to me it extremely is genuinely solidly Tory. some years in the past the Tories could no longer hit upon a candidate. Nor ought to the different occasion different than Labour. So he gained the seat by employing default. the guy replaced right into a universal old staunch socialist and it replaced into incredibly ironic that he spend 4 years representing a extreme Tory rural ward. The Tories made optimistic they post a candidate 4 years later. P.S. in case you are going to cite Shakespeare you could a minimum of comprehend it. "Wherefore" unquestionably means "why are you", no longer "the place are you". Juliet replaced into asking why Romeo had to be from a kin with whom hers had a feud.
