Well first off I think your question is backwards... why do people like to parade their new Porsches like new born babies..
Babies are precious living breathing little creations from heaven.
And the most personal of a couples love!
Where a Porsche is just a car! Whith no real contribution to society.

Nah, I’m kidding. It’s because the new parents are just as proud as can be of their new baby. They love their new child, and like anyone who has something new that they care about dearly, they want to show it off; just like you would a new Porsche. I think its cute how new parents do that. Just cut them some slack. Don’t ruin the happy time for them; it’s special to them that they’ll look back upon for years and years to come. It is, after all, a major life-changing event for them.

After looking at some of your other questions I can tell that this whole thing is bothering you. I would assume that you don't have any children because of infertility, right? I can't imagine being in your position, but put yourself in their shoes for a minute. If you wanted a baby more than anything and finally had one, wouldn't you treat the baby as if it's gold? I'm sorry that you feel like people are rubbing it in your face. I've been in that situation when I was trying to get pregnant. Seemed like everybody could get pregnant but me and they were all the ones that didn't try. There are so many other options in the world for you. And I think this just makes you stronger than some women. I'm crossing my fingers for a miracle for you!

Because its wonderful to have a child I still parade my 11 year old around shes so beautiful. And I want her to feel that way. All my kids are great to me. I want the whole world to know. And by the way a beautiful baby is far more better then any car.

Because it's a way to get attention and admiration.
Most people (and, I'm going to get major thumbs-down for this!) have nothing remarkable to show off. It's true.
But, having a baby seems to them to be a major achievement (never mind that any dog can do it) because of the "Mini-Me" effect: parents perceive an entity that is just like the parent, but without any of the flaws; therefore, they have produced something perfect, and that is surely worthy of praise and adulation.

Because you spent months trying to conceive, you spent another 9 months with a restricted diet, going to the doctor, having your entire body change forever,.
Then you spend a whole day in intense labor (or you have a c-section and spend weeks recovering from a major surgery)... all to get one precious little baby that you love more then words can express.
People are proud of that accomplishment and life changing event.

The proudness of a newborn is very special, and that feeling is better than a brand new porche because my blood last forever a car is temporal

to make you jealous of what you havent got.
because they are proud of their child and themselves for bringing someone new into this world. a baby is a precious thing and all mothers have a right to be proud.
you will see why once you have your own but til then dont snub us that love our kids and want to show everyone else thier creation. we do not PARADE our children.

A lot of people like to show off new clothes cars, shoes or jewelry, well when you become a parent all of that is not as important anymore. Your babies become your pride and joy and they are what we show off not all that material stuff we used to show off.
