Don't think I'd ever be able to choose just one...

"Wuthering Heights" by Brontë
"Geek Love" by Katherine Dunn
"Moonheart" by Charles de Lint (any of his books, really)
"The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy
"Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Caroll
"Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley
"Oranges are Not the Only Fruit" by Jeannette Winterson
"The Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama

I could go on........ and on...... and on.....

Oh, wow. This is where the list gets long. I have LOTS of favorites:

"Bambi" by Felix Salten (It is NOT like the sugar-coated Disney film version at all!)

"The Giver" by Louis Lowry (If you have not read it, I can't explain the story to you because that's something very difficult to do.)

"The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton (It made me cry TWICE in one sitting!)

...and there's TONS more, but those are probably the top three.

I don't think I could just pick one, but Losing Julia was awesome!
I also liked I Know This Much Is True, by Wally Lamb. And, The Gold Coast by Nelson DeMille.

It depends. I can remember Veer Savarkar's First Freedom Struggle on War of 1857 and also Small is Beautiful. Several other books also remembers me in some or other aspects.
