Stay home. New Years Eve is inevitably a major anti-climax. I stopped going out after one disastrous December 31st about 25 years ago. My wife's cousin proposed to my wife's best friend (they'd been going out three years) at stroke of midnight. Not only did she say "No", but added she never actually wanted to see him again! As you can imagine, a major dampener on evening

Went to one New Years Party about five years ago. Dull as ditchwater.

Buy yourself a decent bottle of champagne, and buy a decent DVD. You'll have a much better time

Like declining drugs, your party invitation can be sorted out in one phrase: Just Say No. If you don't want to go, don't go. New Year's Eve is a pain in the @ss anyway.

A good party means lots of drunks driving home, on the road , trying to kill other drunk drivers. I stay home, unless you like taking the chance of spending the night in jail!

Ask yourself: Do you think you'll regret not going out?

If you don't think you'll regret it, then stay in. A quiet night at home can be nice. If you think you'll regret it, then staying in isn't worth it.

Think of it this way...if the party isn't fun, then you can always leave. You can't necessarily go at 11:30 pm if your house is getting boring.

i would say stay home new years eve. it will be hectic with all the partyers going out getting drunk and driving and save your enthusiasm for another night when they have another party. holidays are for family anyways!
