is it a problem to give my cards out if i explain that i have not started yet i will not be operating till by licence comes through ( hopefully in next wk or two) and i will let them know when i do

It isnt illegal, but you would be sending people the wrong immpression, What if something sets you back and you cant open untill next month. When it comes to transportation people want to know their driver is responisble so they arent late. They will think if you cant even give them the right opening date and can you get them anywhere on time. I suggest you wait untill your up and running. Perhaps try a grand opening promotion offering the first 50 customers a discount. Good luck.

Certainly not illegal, but equally certainly unwise and wastefull.
You need to impress your customers with a promt efficient service, the first time they call and you can't deliver will be the last time they call.
As you are in the hands of officialdom I would think it unwise to quess a date to put on them as this is out of your control.
Be patient, advertise your service when you can provide it and if you have spare time visit some of thre local companies in your area to see if they use cabs regularly for visitors or urgent packages.

I wouldn't say it's illegal but make sure you gave a date when it's opening as people will try and phone and when they can't get through - won't bother again. Best wait til it's running

It shouldn't be illegal. However, I would suggest attaching the cards to a flyer that would give the date/time of your Grand Opening.

It's not illegal but it's stupid, wait until your up and running to hand out any cards otherwise peoples first impression of you won't be good....
