Sixth, if my calculations and those of others are correct.
Ah, yes. The Wise men visit.
I knew of a very old lady who envited certain people from her church for 12th night celebration. I didn't attend but other friends (also elderly) said she always invited three prats from the parish. They were slyly referred to as "The Three Wise A**es."
So they could know it was 12th night because the Wise Ones appeared!

My vote is definitely for 5 January. 25 December is the first day of the Christmas season (24 December - Christmas Eve - is still Advent, though the first evensong of Christmas can be held after 3 pm on the 24th).

So 5 January is twelfth day of Christmas, and 6th is first day of the Epiphany season (as others have said above).

BTW, when I was a boy the crib in our local church used to remove the shepherds on 6 January, and replace them with the three kings. Crib remained until the Epiphany season was over.

The Twelve Days commence on Boxing Day (the day after Christmas Day) and end on January 6th (Epiphany, the ceremonial dinner of the three Kings). Epiphany was the climax of the Christmas trip era in europe, and inspite of the actual shown fact that many international locations no longer have fun it (like the united kingdom case in point) it continues to be very vast in some international places like Spain and Switzerland.

Christmas Greetings!

I just checked Wikipedia ... it says that the first day of Christmas starts on December 25th in the evening ... and continues through to January 5th evening into January 6th evening .. it says it slightly differently, but I am sure that is what is meant ... so the first day is Dec 25 in the evening through December 26th evening, the second starting December 26th evening to December 27the evening...and it continues right through Epiphany which is January 6th ,,,it marks the visit of the Magi (wise Men) .... I think I'll scout down paintings to see if that happened at nighttitme... in the meantime, it is lunch time! Peace and Christmas Love!

January 6th. It is called the ephimy or little christmas.
It celebrates Jesus' baptism and the showing of him to gentiles. Also the coming of the wise men.
