which is better and what are the differences. and i already know that the k1m has external music controls but the k1 doesn't

I have the K1M and it is really great. I really enjoy the external touch-sensitive music controls. They're great for listening to music with the fold closed and still being able to skip to the next song. The only thing I don't like about the mp3 music player is that the music always plays through the speakerphone unless you go out and buy Motorola's $30 headphones. Other than that.. I would totally recommend the K1M over the K1.

the main difference between the K1 and K1m is the technology. The K1 uses GSM which basically speaking is Cingular and T-Mobile. The K1m uses CDMA (sprint, verizon, alltel...)
depends on your carrier.

K1M is less likely to malfunction
it has better reviews
I dont have one but my friend does he says it beats the hell out of the k1
[I recommend cingular]
