Saddam murdered his own people, mass murder, the Iraqi Courts did not murder anyone, they have sentenced Saddam. And if you are insinuating that it was our President GW Bush, there is no Mass murder committed by him. Our country is in a war on terrorism. You are not clear as to who the other war criminal is.

Is justice the only thing in question? If so, then yes, his execution was justice. He didn't merely kill, or purpose to kill, enemy combatants : he willfully & maliciously killed --- even by poisonous gas --- hundreds & thousands of innocents, not merely those opposing his rule with weapons. He killed many because they were a different people than his own. He killed a lot of people who simply disagreed with him or displeased him, even those near to him or in government or national positions. Aside from all the politics about what the US should or shouldn't have done, or do, ... he did actually get justice.
Now, whether those executing him were war criminals themselves, I do not know, as I don't know much about the men who held that court that tried & executed him. They were Iraqis; and, although a number of them may have been out for revenge due to the politics over there, there is no doubt that the man was correctly condemned, if all facts are presented.

How is the Iraqi government and legal system a war criminal?.. Saddam was hung for crimes against his own people, by his own people, not war crimes... George Bush is not a war criminal either... The US Armed Forces followed the rules of engagement throughout this conflict as we always do... Why do you hate your country so much to make such accusations?

It's not so much justice as it is closure for the iraqi people. What Saddam represented to them could only be closed by something as graphic as hanging. They even showed his body on iraqi TV so that the public would actually believe he is dead. Saddam murdered so many people that there is no way his death could pay for all those innocent men, women and children who died by his hands.

Executing Saddam instead of Osama, invading Iraq instead of confronting the Saudis is about par with shopping to strengthen the country and putting a magnet on your car to support the troops ...while rotating the troops thru Iraq over and over. Neat strategy.

So, the democratically elected government of Iraq is a war criminal? The made their own constitution too, although they should have just borrowed ours since we're not using it.

Goerge Bush is just as guilty as what Saddam was charged for. They both authorized the killing and torturing of people. They held people in jail without the right to a trail. Both are evil leaders.
