If you are using any version of Windows before XP, this occurs whenever Windows detects that it was shutdown improperly. You can either start shutting down your computer the correct way (going to Start --> Turn off/Shutdown), or just hit "cancel" whenever the disk check begins to load up.

The best way to avoid disk checking is shutting down the system properly. To shut down the system always go to START button and click SHUT DOWN and again select SHUT DOWN and click OK. You can also do so by pressing the windows key on once present on the keyboard between Ctrl and Alt, and press U key twice. Good luck

if your opertaing system is before windows xp and if each time you get disk checking you go to start run and type msconfig in general tab enable the option disable scandisk after bad shutdown

when,computer is switched on it will only show press any button to stop disk checking

Also, there is a service that runs under XP ( assuming you have XP), and that needs to be shut down to manual, probably not best to turn it off.

if windows wants to check your disk during bootup,it's becuse u didn't shutdown ur pc properly.it's best that u allow windows to do it.also,next time,make sure u shutdown properly

u can just skip it when it starts
but i dont think there is a way u can avoid before time
