I did some research for you:
"It is possible for sperm to travel through thin clothing (like underwear), but they cannot travel through thicker clothing (like jeans). Multiple layers of thin clothing (like underwear and pajama bottoms or both partners wearing underwear) also can stop sperm."1
Also "Sperm ejaculated into a woman's vagina remain alive in the mucus of the cervix and are able to fertilize an egg for three to five days. Sperm ejaculated outside the body usually live only a few hours." 2 SPERM DO NOT DIE WITHIN MINUTES OF BEING EJACULATED!
The best way to prevent pregnancy is to wear a condom, or apparantly, keep your jeans on!

GUYS, let a RN speak: The answer isss.....NO! Though fabric may have little holes , sperm needs liquid to travel, after all, they are SWIMMERS, but the fabric of clothes absorbs this liquid. Secondly, sperm needs some pretty specific conditions to survive. They CANNOT survive long outside of the body as is, let alone travel all the way through clothing (or, in a similar instance, if he ejaculated on your stomach, arm, chest, etc), then find it s way INTO your vagina, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and then find an egg to fertilize with. Aside from that, sperm are actually far more delicate than people think, as recent studies suggest, and though it takes (usually) just one to become pregnant, it takes a few hundred as well to help get the that one through the egg sac. Take that last bit of information, and through the barrier of a couple layers of clothing in there (thin or not); as if the process wouldn t be complex enough without direct transfer, barricading it bungles everything up making it impossible. The clothing would have to be completely saturated, and even then it s highly highly unlikely. Sperm. Must. Be. Intact.
For the future, if you aren t on the pill: don t mess around with sperm being anywhere near your body (aside from oral, as stomach acid would kill the little guys). Though getting pregnant without direct transfer is very tricky and unlikely, stranger things have happened. Pregnancy isn t 9 months of (if you re underage, shame) and pain, it s 18 years of constant responsibility. The best method, though, would be to abstain from sex all together.(sorry!)

Sperm can absolutely pass through clothes. Obviously clothes would make it more difficult to get pregnant or to contract an STD, but not at all impossible.
As to what materials are more permeable I can't say. Certainly some would be more risky than others, but most any cloth can pass sperm.
Those little swimmers are very hearty and agressive guys so don't take the risk!

No it cannot. Anyone of these answerers telling you they spoke to a doctor about the ability of sperm passing through clothes is a dead liar.
Sperm are not as strong as people think. Sperm after being released into the open air will die without a doubt before it can pass through any form of clothing.
Are you worried you can get pregnant if your boyfriend ejaculates on your panties? Then you have nothing to worry about Sperm do not live outside of the body for more than a couple of minutes at the most and it cannot travel through clothing.

It really depends on the situation. Now if you are talking using a sock as a condom then yes it can pass through. If you are saying that he came and you were dressed then no!!

Sperm need to go up into the vagina to head toward the ovary where it will meet up with an egg and fertilize. I can't picture any type of clothing that would let that happen. But to be safe- using a condom each time will end your worries.

yes they can. latex and plastic are the two things they cannot pass through. It even says on those "lambskin condoms" boxes that it doesn't protect against pregnancy, just stds. So, if sperm can pass through a lambskin condom, they can pass through clothes.

sperms are extremely small. Like bacteria. Fabrics in most commercially available cloths have tiny "holes" in them. If u are having sex, be sure to use a rubber condom with lubricant. do not use animal skin condoms.
