The people of Iraq not the US we don't have jurisdiction there, put him on trial, the Iraqs sentenced him, and the Iraqs had him hung??? He was a war criminal having murdered over 2 million with many unaccounted for, how do you justify this and Bush hasn't anything to do with his behavior he was doing this during the Clinton era also.

I am so glad you said all of this!!! The liberals hate Bush so much they don't care! They would rather let terrorist into our country than admit Bush is doing a good job!!! Saddam got what he deserved!!!

I'm a conservative, but I think I know why liberals are upset about Hussein's execution.
They think he was a bad guy, but the don't think he was taken out of power in a good way. The justification for going to war was mostly that we believed Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. So a lot of people were for the war, even a lot of Democrats. When we couldn't find any WMDs in Iraq, liberals thought that we went to war too soon. So they believe Hussein shouldn't have been on trial in the first place.
If a group within Iraq overthrew the government themselves, AND THEN executed Hussein, I don't think the liberals would have a problem with it.

I'm extremely liberal, just ask my conservative brother, and I have no problem with the execution of Saddam Hussein. I try to base my beliefs based on issues rather than on idologies of liberal or conservative.
I do have problems with the United States having used Iraq and Iran as pawns and using them against each other for the last 50 years. In my lifetime I've seen the US support Iran while installing the Shah of Iran. From that time until 1979 the United States helped Iran build up a powerful military. After the Shah was overthrown in 1979 the US helped build up the Iraqi military and supported them in a way against Iran that lasted about ten years. When Iraq no longer served our purposes, we attacked Iraq in defense of Kuwait. Then did so again under the current administration despite the lack of evidence justifying it.
I do have problems with the image of the United States throughout the world having been decimated. We have been extremely fickle ever since the Truman Doctrine. In our efforts to oppose communism we have changed sides many times within countries. I do believe in self-determination within countries, not in giving countries aid based on their anti-communist/communist leanings.
I do have problems with the hateful, accusatory manner in which conservative pundits talk about liberals just because they disagree with conservatives. Oddly, I don't see this as much from liberals. Conservatives seem to quickly move from issues to name calling. I may be wrong about this, I hope I am, but that's what my experience has been.
I have problems in the closed-minded way that all political groups view the United States as forum for advancing their own agenda. This attitude that "this is what I believe and I demand you to believe this way too" is childish, self-centered and dangerous. The United States is supposed to be a free country where people can opening discuss their opinions. It is not supposed to be a liberal versus conservative, or Democrat versus Republic country. It is supposed to be a United States where people are allowed to disagree and by the open debate of opposing opinions the best decisions can be made.
I have a lot of trouble with people who love their own ideologies or their own political party more than they love the United States.
BTW Hussein wasn't "hung," he was "hanged." "Hung" means something of a more personal nature that I'd rather not know about.
I hope this helps clear up some of questions you are trying to understand about liberals.
I do suggest that you try to understand the issues based on facts instead of looking for support for your preconceptions. Rather than the "us versus them" approach it appears you currently have, I hope you will become a thoughtful, fair-minded individual more in keeping with the political ideal of the Founding Fathers.

I do not have a problem with him dying. I have a problem with the US actions of giving up a POW to some Iranian puppet regime, to win us some points? I have a problem with the Pseudo-Christians in here with their bloodlust. People here are so happy they want to party like they won the lottery. Would Jesus approve of the US giving their helpless prisoner to the lynch mob.

hhm ok let's back up here.
The US Military caught him. And with the way the Iraqi military is doing, I doubt they ever would have found him without us.
I feel no need to justify Saddam's actions, so don't ask me to. He was a bag guy. 'Nuff said.
Yes, he killed many people and yes he deserved this punishment. Stop blaming liberals for the fact that we really no reason to invade this country other than our egomaniacal president's need to take out the guy who tried to kill his daddy.

I read an article that some tried to get a US judge to stay his execution. WTF? Iraqi court, Iraqi judge, Iraqi witnesses, Iraqi verdict, Iraqi execution!
