Scout (Mary Badham):Her second best-known role, after "Mockingbird," is as 'Sport Sharewood' in "The Bewitchin' Pool", the final episode of the original Twilight Zone series.

She also appeared in the films "Let's Kill Uncle" (1966) and "This Property Is Condemned" (1966) before retiring from the acting profession. At the urging of actor/writer/director Cameron Watson, Badham came out of retirement to play an offbeat cameo opposite Keith Carradine for his film Our Very Own (2005). Watson stated he would not accept any other actress for the part. He had managed to track Mary down in Monroeville, Alabama, where she had been invited to attend a stage version of "To Kill a Mockingbird."

At present Badham is an art restorer and a college testing coordinator. Married to a school teacher, and the mother of two, she also travels around the world recalling her experiences making "To Kill a Mockingbird" while expounding on the book's messages of tolerance and compassion.

Jem (Philip Alford): appeared in three productions with Birmingham's Town and Gown Civic Theater before auditioning, in New York, for the part of Jem in "Mockingbird." He was one of three finalists. His parents and sister, Eugenia, drove to Hollywood to be with him during the filming, and Eugenia became the stand-in for actress Mary Badham who played his sister, Scout, in the film.

He is currently a successful businessman in Birmingham, Alabama.

Alford's other acting credits include: Fair Play (1972) (TV); The Intruders (1970) (TV); Shenandoah (1965); and Bristle Face (1964) (TV).

Dill (John Megna): (November 9, 1952 - September 5, 1995) was an American actor whose Broadway success at the age of seven in 1960's All the Way Home led to his being cast as Charles Baker 'Dill' Harris, the toothy young summer visitor in the 1962 film To Kill a Mockingbird. According to Mockingbird author, Harper Lee, the character was based on her childhood friend, writer Truman Capote.

A half-brother of actress/singer/businesswoman Connie Stevens, Megna appeared in many television programs throughout the 1960s and 1970s, and as an adult, he turned to stage directing. On September 5, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, he died from AIDS-related complications at the age of 42.

Calpurnia (Estelle Evans): (1906–1985) was a Bahamian-American actress. She was born in 1906 in the Bahamas. After playing Calpurnia in the 1962 version of To Kill a Mockingbird she went on act in several other movies and television shows until her death in 1985.
