mine is a nokia 3230 set..can anyone explain me how to convert the starting of a song as a ringtone..plz do describe in detail

use mp3cutter or any such software to cut any portion of the song & save it as mp3 & use it as your ringtone.

Search how to make ringtones.
You will need a program to edit the songs (most will only give you a free trial so you will have to buy one if you can't find a free one), and a host site to upload your tones so that you can access them on you phone. Search through wap sites, these are the sites that are viewable on your cell phones through the web.
I have never paid for a ringtone
I spent time looking on how this is done. So research and have fun.

you cannot you have to buy them from the providor OR get a ringtone software maker.

u can edit a song and then connect the cell to pc and copy it
thats easy
