Soon enough they will see...
The Saddam-loyalists are the ones who have been making the large majority of attacks these past few years. Now republicans believe they will be quelled and stop attacking for the most part? ???????? This is absurd. The sad truth is that attacks will increase and the war will become even more complicated. Democrats knew this from the start. It will take some time for many republicans to wake up, I suppose.

The logic behind the argument is that Saddam is now gone and that soon the realization that a return to the past (a Baath party reestablishing itself) is impossible. This remains to be seen. History will show this to be true or not. What disturbs me is the arrogance of Republicans and Democrats in saying that they seem to know everything and the other side knows nothing. It is become very chic to blame each other while everything that America stands for is trampled in the dirt. Wake up. It seems that NOBODY has an ounce of do anymore, but only a pound of blame. What ever happened to doing the right thing???
America is supposed to succeed, not fail and blame the other party.

There will be no terrorist attacks. They were not ready to make any yet....These attacks take months, even years to formulate. There will be no point for them to attack either, in 2 or 3 months. The death of Saddam does not make a large difference, but it's compensation for the stuff he's done over the years. Killing thousands of his own people, torturing millions, etc. Remember, he was sued only for killing a hundred and change people. Iraq will get better now, but Saddam's death plays a very small role in it.

actually it's getting worst, over 100 soldiers died this past month in just one unit that Fort Drum sent, my good friends husband was one of them. Because he is getting executed within less then 48 hours there has been more uncontrollable riot's then ever before. people are dropping like flies, and the president wants to send more troops in hope it gets better, but it will only get worst as more people will die and more families will morn.

I have not heard any Republicans or any party member make that claim. President Bush did not even make that claim. Where do you get your information?
