He said it once in one of his stand up shows. It was about Prince Charles always playing with his shirt cuffs as though he is about to do a magic trick and pull out a bunch of flowers. I've seen a lot of his stand up and as far as I can remember he only said it the once. Definately was not one of his catchphrases.

It's on one of his early tours, i think it's 'Unrepeatable' (if not, Definate Article). He talks about Prince Charles making speeches and the way he fiddles with his shirt cuffs because he is nervous. Eddie thinks he looks like a magician who is about to do a trick and pull a bunch of flowers out of his sleeves.

I still love the earlier tours over anything more recent.

I've seen him live too and have never heard him say it. He dosn't seem to be the type of comic to use catch phrases, that would be a bit too conventional for him, but perhaps he did at the beginning of his career before he found his style.

He said it in a routine once.
He doesn't have catchphrases as such but people pick up on particular things he says.
I still say it myself when I stuck for an answer.

It's one of about fifty random things he mentions like jam and Mrs Bagcrumble.

I'm not really sure but there does seem to be evidence pointing in that direction.

He is sooo funny, he needs to play the States more, but I think that all Brit/Irish/Scottish comedians need to. We love your humour!
