Because they kill tens of thousands of their own people!

Considering the most recent hanging was because the "stronger" country did not want the truth coming out.

The truth being that the weaker leader was put into power by the stronger country and they were great pals. Until the weaker country decided to go his own way - then the stronger country said, "No way Jose, you do what we tell you or face the consequences". The weaker country flipped the bird, and so the stronger country invaded. How dare the weak country be so rude!!

During the short battle, stronger country invaded, but did not finish the job - the strong leader being too weak to kill the puppet. But the strong leader did demand sanctions.

10 years later the strong country decided to finish the job that daddy didnt do because the strong leader hated being thought of as the son of a weak leader. He wants everyone to call him a war president. He made up an excuse that the weak country attacked the strong country (which everyone knows was false) and so the weak country was invaded again.

This time instead of taking 3 months, it has taken over 3 years. And many people now think that the strong leader was wrong to invade, because the weaker country as not as weak as it looked.

Now that the weak leader is dead, I think the weak country will start getting stronger and fighting back harder than before and the whole situation will just get worse.

Oh I feel a headache, I mean a world war coming on. I have to go lie down.......

Hmmm... 'Only the rulers? of weaker countries?

Death by hanging is still used in two or three states in America, and "rulers" in these areas are no less subject to the laws.

We simply have not yet had the occasion demonstrated in which these laws have been used on such a person of high station; that's all there is to it. But don't put it past this country to use it. Stranger things have occurred...

If you are referring to Saddam Hussein and I think that you are then my reply is that Iraq's policy is to hang individuals for crimes against state and humanity on the other hand in the USA some states have death by lethal injection for similar offenses, the USA does not have a leader who has committed such atrocities against humanity.

There are quite a few countries whose criminal system is not as advanced as the USA who still hang people, such as the Caribbean countries and some middle Eastern countries. It has nothing to do with the country being weaker but the constitution of the country and their laws.

In some countries such as Haiti the rulers (Jean Paul Aristide) escape before such punishment could be meted out to him, but in Grenada the then Prime Minister (Maurice Bishop) was not so fortunate, it is not only in Iraq that hangings are and have occurred.

It's not weaker countries, per se, it's one that 'lose' a war. And that is because the winners, no matter how misguided and wrong, get to make the rules.

Saddam didn't deserve any better than what he got, but they way in which he was brought to justice necessitated even more violence and injustice than it would have taken for him to eventually have been killed from inside. No true despot has ever lived to see the fruits of their evils.

Because they're poor countries and its a cheap method of carrying out the death sentance...no bullets to buy, no drugs to buy, no electric bill to pay. Its interesting that leaders of wealthier countries who "retaliate" by authorizing wars that kill thousands of people...even their own men and women...don't suffer the same end. But then, when people like Sadam have been found guilty and handed back over to the governments of their land, the penalties are decided on by those governments. It would be nice if things were as they were intended to be according to the Bible...paradise with perfect humans who wouldn't commit sins against each other or against God, wouldn't it?

Firing squads are reserved for executing soldiers and officers (if done in any official capacity at all) and hangings were reserved for leaders of defeated countries whom they wanted to instill terror and a humiliation until the final drop. Hangings are actually very cruel when you think about it. A person in a state execution is literally led by black hooded figures to a platform, where they take their dear sweet time putting that rope around the neck.

I wouldn't say weaker countries. Germany wasn't a weaker country and Eichman swung from a rope.

You just have to be on the losing side.

Mostly because they can't stop the rulers of stronger countries from hanging them.

Woe to the vanquished, for it is their destiny to endure the burden of guilt for any conflict, no matter the reasons by which it was engaged.
