This depends on what you are going to use your mp3 player for. If you are using it strictly for music then the 8GB should be plenty to hold all your songs. However, I have a 30GB because I not only have music, but videos and movies as well. Hope this helps and have fun with your mp3 player!

The video Ipod is 30gb and can hold over 4000 songs and pics and movies and more.
